Take Back the Media

“Of course the people do not want war. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it is a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism” Herman Goering-Nazi Leader-Nuremberg Trial

Fox Bash Released Soldiers While Murdoch Pays One for an Exclusive Interview

Newshounds
Monday April 9, 2007

Fox News has given airtime of late to guests who have bashed the British soldiers who were released by Iran last week. One, Lt. Col. Ralph Peters, called for the court martial of the two commanders and another, Lt. Col. Bob Maginnis, a "Fox News Military Analyst," called them "cowards" because according to him, they "caved in" too quickly to their Iranian captors.

At the same time, in yet another display of Rupert Murdoch's anything-to-make-a-buck hypocrisy, the British tabloid The Sun, which Murdoch owns, paid one of those "cowards" for a sensational front page story that is splashed across The Sun's front page today.
